The Cackling House can offer a variety of local and global delicacies. Originally we served chicken dishes from around the world as we began in a converted hen-house, now we have other delights as well. Give us a try – or just come for a cackle.
Darts we have, of course and boule for gentle exercise. Then the art gallery, theatre barn and library for those less strenuously inclined.
The house ale is Old Speckled Hen. Wine we import ourselves from South Africa’s Western Cape. Dont miss the chance to try them. Mineral water for the less adventurous.
A section of the reataurant is housed in what was our Press Room. Follow the local custom by writing a piece, poem or aphorism on your serviette and pushing it under the Perspex on the floor. We have already made a book of the earlier contributions. You can be in the next one!
